01Is the server up?

Minecraft server status check

Type an address and we ask the server the same question your game asks in the Multiplayer menu. One check, nothing stored, nothing listed.

Java and Bedrock checks your port for Java and 19132 for Bedrock at the same time.

The address players type in Multiplayer. Labels like IP: and spaces are cleaned up.

Tryjoin.extremecraft.netplay.bendersMC.cosl.augustamc.com

The answer shows up here as the row you would see in Multiplayer, with players, version and ping.

02Reading the result

What each answer means.

The same rules decide uptime on every listed server.

  1. Online and joinable

The server answered with an open world. The player count and version come straight from its reply.

  2. Answers, but not joinable

Something answered, but it is a sleeping page from a free host, a maintenance message or a server with no player slots.

  3. Not answering

Nothing answered within 3 seconds. The server is down, the port is closed or a firewall drops the request.

  4. This address does not resolve

The name does not point anywhere, or only to a private network that players outside cannot reach.

It says online but I cannot join

The status reply and joining are separate steps. Check the version, the whitelist and whether the server needs a paid account.

Are the player counts real?

They are what the server reports. Some networks show a fixed maximum or add players from other servers.

Why is my ping different?

The time is measured from our pinger in Europe to the server. Your ping depends on where you play from.
