In lifesteal, every PvP kill moves a heart from the loser to the killer. That one rule shapes the whole server: strong players grow sturdier, careless ones shrink, and the rules on heart caps, revives and what happens at zero hearts decide whether a bad night ends your season.

Before you join, find out how revives work, whether there is combat-log protection and a grace period for new players, and how long a season runs before hearts reset. New to the mode? Read how lifesteal works.

Right now 1,482 players are on the 17 lifesteal servers that answer our pings, out of 49 listed. Over the last four weeks, the busiest hour was around 15:00 UTC. Measured at 23:45 UTC.

How to choose lifesteal servers

  1. 01

Read the revive rules. Some servers let friends craft a beacon or revive item, others ban you until the next season.

  2. 02

Check the heart cap and whether hearts can be withdrawn as items, because that decides how fast the top players run away.

  3. 03

Look for combat-log protection and a grace period for new players, so you are not farmed on your first night.

  4. 04

Ask how long a season lasts. A 30 day season and a never-reset world are very different commitments.

Questions

Questions about lifesteal servers

Can anyone join the Lifesteal SMP from YouTube?

No. The Lifesteal SMP seen on YouTube is a private, invite-only server for its creators. Public lifesteal servers copy its rules, and the ones on this page are open to anyone who connects with a Minecraft account.

Are there lifesteal servers for Bedrock?

Yes. Some lifesteal servers run Geyser so Bedrock players on phones, Windows and consoles can join. Filter the list by cross-play or look for a Bedrock address and port on the server row.

How do you get your hearts back on a lifesteal server?

It depends on the server. Most let you kill other players to win hearts back, many add a craftable heart item, and some let friends revive you with a special block after you are eliminated. The rules are usually in the server's Discord or its /rules command.
