PvP is a broad tag, so the real question is which kind of fighting you want: kits and duels, box PvP, factions raids, lifesteal or open world PvP on a survival map. Each plays differently even though they share the same tag.

Check the combat version first, 1.8 style spam clicking or modern cooldown combat, then the anti-cheat and the server's region. Ping matters more in PvP than in any other mode. 1.8 PvP vs modern combat explains why servers disagree.

Right now 2,447 players are on the 52 PvP servers that answer our pings, out of 107 listed. Over the last four weeks, the busiest hour was around 15:00 UTC. Measured at 23:19 UTC.

Before you join

How to choose PvP servers

  1. 01

Pick the combat version you enjoy. 1.8 style servers allow fast clicking, modern ones use the attack cooldown.

  2. 02

Play where your ping is low. A server in your region gives you a fair fight, one across an ocean does not.

  3. 03

Check the anti-cheat and how quickly staff answer reports.

  4. 04

Decide between instant fights, like kits and duels, and PvP that you earn by gathering gear first.

Questions

Questions about PvP servers

What Minecraft version is best for PvP?

Competitive players are split. Many still prefer 1.8 combat with fast clicking and no cooldown, while modern versions use the attack cooldown introduced in 1.9. Most PvP servers accept several versions and use plugins to choose the combat style.

Are there PvP servers for Bedrock players?

Yes. Cross-play servers running Geyser accept Bedrock players, and some PvP servers are built for Bedrock only. Look for a Bedrock address on the row or filter by cross-play.

What is a practice server in Minecraft?

A practice server is a PvP server built for training: ranked duels, kits, bots and leaderboards, with no survival progression. Players use them to sharpen aim and movement before competitive matches.

How many PvP servers are online right now?

52 of the 107 PvP servers we list answered our last ping at 23:19 UTC with an open world. Together they had 2,447 players online. 58 of them were playable at least once in the last 7 days.
